Withdrawal
Remove inner door trim.
Remove the foam lining of the upper part of the door.
The window must be closed.

Disconnect the connecting rod from the door lock. To do this, move the plastic cover of the lock -arrow- to one side. After that, pull out the hook of the thrust of their lever.
Use a narrow screwdriver to pry off trim -arrow-.
Through the vacated hole in the door, press the crossbar with a screwdriver. This releases the door handle trim, which can be removed. The figure shows the deadbolt with the door handle removed.
Attention: When installing, a suitable hook is required for pulling out.
Loosen left bolt and right nut (with BMW tool 512070). The nut can also be carefully loosened with a hammer and punch.
Attention: Do not scratch the paint, cover the surrounding surface with adhesive tape. Replace damaged nut.
Disconnect all door lock connectors.
Note: The connectors cannot be mixed up during installation, as only the corresponding connectors fit together.
Pull the door handle out of the door cutout to the inside and disconnect the central locking connector.
Removing the lock cylinder
Unscrew bolts 1 and remove trim and central locking drive.
Pull out the central locking microswitch with clip.
Note: The microswitch is marked according to which door it is installed on: L = left, R = right.
Insert the key into the lock cylinder and carefully push down the slotted pin -arrow-.
Attention: In the absence of sufficient experience, visit a service station.
Compress the lock cylinder and pull out the cam sleeve and spring. When installing, assemble all the parts in the same places.
Remove locking rods as a set. Carefully pull out the lock cylinder.
Attention: If crackers move hard. visit a service station. Using old keys, a service station can use a cylinder repair kit to assemble a new lock cylinder suitable for your car. The repair kit also contains grease for crackers.
Installation
Assemble the door handle and lock cylinder. Install elements of the central locking system.
Insert assembly and connect all connectors.
Secure door handle with bolt and nut.
Connect the connecting rod to the lock and fix it. Set the rotary latch to position "closed" and also turn the key in the lock cylinder to the position "closed".
Check all closing functions.
Place the door handle trim on the outside and through the hole in the door above the lock with a suitable hook (For example. BMW 513140 or HAZET 2184-2) Pull out bolt -arrow-. In this case, the facing of the door handle is fixed. The figure shows the deadbolt with the door handle removed.
Put on the overlay.
Install door seal and trim.
