Attention:
- Observe safety requirements when handling fire safety equipment.
- Improper handling may result in the airbag deploying and, as a result, injury to personnel.
1. Remove the luggage compartment floor trim.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and cover the terminal.
3. Remove the compartment for small items.
4. Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).
5. Unscrew the nuts (2).
Note: Before tightening the threaded connections of the airbag control unit, check that the negative wire (3) is placed on the corresponding stud.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm.
6. Remove the airbag system ECU (4) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
7. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
8. Perform coding/programming.
