Withdrawal
Electronic control unit (ECU) located in the engine compartment on the right (see chapter Supply system).
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
If your vehicle's radio is equipped with an anti-theft system, make sure you know the correct activation code before disconnecting the battery. Before disconnecting the wire, refer to Section Anti-theft audio system and instrument panel language.
If, after connecting the battery, a message in a different language appears on the instrument panel display, refer to Section Anti-theft audio system and instrument panel language.
2. On models with an ECU on the right side of the engine compartment, remove the access cover (see chapter Supply system).
3. If the ECU is located inside the vehicle, remove the access cover on the right side.
4. Disconnect from ECU electric sockets.
5. Turn away from an arm ECU bolts of fastening.
6. Carefully remove the ECU.
Avoid damage to the ECU by static electricity by wearing rubber gloves and avoid touching the connector pins.
Installation
Installation is reverse to removal.
