Programming the electronic control unit (BMW X5 E53)

Programming of the DDE system ECU must be carried out in the following order.

Turn off the ignition and connect the "MoDIC" device, "GT1" tester, or "DIS-tester". Turn on the ignition and select the "Programming" mode.

The further sequence of programming work is described in the instructions for the "MoDIC" device, "GT1" tester or "DIS-tester".

Conduct coordination between EWS units (electronic anti-theft system) and DDE (digital electronic control system of diesel engine).
