Removal and installation the sensor in the left or right center pillar
Caution: Follow the ESD protection instructions (ESD - Electrostatic Discharge).
Attention:
- Observe safety requirements when handling fire safety equipment.
- Improper handling may result in the airbag deploying and, as a result, injury to personnel.
1. Remove the luggage compartment floor trim.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and cover the terminal.
3. Remove the door pillar trim (lower part).
4. Unscrew the screw (1).
5. Loosen the screw (2).
Tightening torque: 8 Nm.
6. Lift the sensor (3) through the hole in the central pillar and remove it with a backward movement.
7. Unlock and disconnect the connector (4).
8. Remove the sensor (3) from the center pillar.
Note: When installing, pay attention to the correct position of the sensor (1) in the central pillar on the guide pin (2) and screw (3).
9. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
