Removal



Remove the intake manifold (pipe).

Unhook and disconnect the knock sensor connector.

Unscrew the knock sensor. There are two knock sensors installed on the cylinder block.

Caution: If the knock sensors are mixed up during installation, this will cause engine damage. To prevent this from happening, mark the connections before removing.


Installation



Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and knock sensor.

Tighten the knock sensor to 20 Nm.

Note: The tightening torque must be precise, as it is important for the correct operation of the sensor. Keep it clean when tightening.


Connect the plugs and secure them into the mounts.

Install the intake manifold.

Connect the negative cable to the battery.
