Attention! When performing operations on the doors and the dashboard, it is necessary to observe the safety regulations for airbag systems and seat belt tensioners, since these systems contain pyropatrons.
The module of the systems in the airbag in the front doors must be removed in the following order. Remove the ignition key and disconnect the "–" terminal of the battery. Remove the front door trim and unscrew the screws (1, Fig. 18.73) fastenings of the airbag module (2), move the module from the door, disconnect the module's HS from the system and remove the module.
The installation of the airbag module should be carried out in the reverse order, in which case it is necessary to replace the screws, apply sealant to the threaded part and tighten them to a torque of 8.5 N·m (0.85 kgf·m).
Removal of the module of the airbag systems in the rear doors should be carried out in a similar order.
