Removal and installation the lower luggage door lock bracket (BMW X5 E53)

The lower luggage door lock bracket must be replaced in the following order: Open the luggage door and release the trim (1) by moving it forward and detach it by moving it inward.

Remove the screws (1, Fig. 18.64) and remove the bracket (2).



When installing, do not damage the fasteners and holes in the trim. Adjust the locking mechanism, the position of the lower part of the luggage door lock bracket.
