Removal and installation the front door inner handle (BMW X5 E53)

Replacement of the inner handle (right/left) the front door must be carried out in the following order. Remove the front door trim, avoiding damage to the light guide of the interior handle illumination.

Unscrew the nut (1, Fig. 18.52) fastening the handle to the inner door panel. The guides (2) on the handle (3) must not be damaged. During dismantling, slightly move the screw (4) in the guide of the handle (3).



Remove the handle (1, Fig. 18.53) from the door trim (2) moving inward and upward.



When installing the handle, make sure that the screw socket (1, Fig. 18.54) the handle (2) had no damage.
