Removal and installation front door glass (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the front door glass must be carried out in the following order. Disconnect the "–" terminal of the battery. Remove the outer molding of the glass shaft and the sound insulation of the front door. Lower the glass by the size (A, Fig. 18.74), equal to approximately 145 mm. Loosen the screws (1), detach the door glass (3) from the window lifter (2), move the glass and remove it from the front door by moving it backwards and upwards.



When installing glass, replace the brackets (fig. 18.75) and, if necessary, install new screws (1) and nuts (3) on the glass (4). Adjust the door glass.
