Windshield washer (BMW X3 E83)
Removal and installation the windshield washer reservoir
Note: Empty the windshield washer reservoir.

1. Remove the windshield washer pump (unlock and disconnect the connector).
2. Remove the rear window washer pump (unlock and disconnect the connector).
3. Remove the headlight washer pump (unlock and disconnect the connector).
4. Unscrew the bolt (1).
5. Unlock and disconnect the connector (2) of the fluid level sensor in the windshield washer reservoir.
6. Release the hose (3) from the clamps.
7. Remove the windshield washer reservoir (4) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Note: When installing, it is necessary to insert the guide (1) of the windshield washer reservoir (2) into the sockets (3) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

8. Turn the windshield washer fluid level sensor (1) in the direction indicated by the arrow, remove it from the windshield washer reservoir (2) downwards and set it aside.
9. Remove the cover and filter from the windshield washer reservoir.
Note:
- During installation, it is necessary to replace the pump sealing rings/filters.
- Lubricate the pump sealing rings with grease to facilitate sliding.
- When laying the hose, ensure there are no kinks.
- Fill the washer fluid reservoir.
10. Install in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.

Note: Empty the windshield washer reservoir.

1. Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).
2. Disconnect the hose (2) from the windshield washer pump (3) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
3. Turn the pump (3) and remove it from the washer fluid reservoir (4) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Note:
- During installation, it is necessary to replace the pump sealing ring.
- Lubricate the windshield washer pump O-ring with lubricant to facilitate sliding.
- When laying the hose, ensure there are no kinks.
- Fill the washer fluid reservoir.
4. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
