Replacing the windshield washer fluid level sensor (BMW X5 E53)

The design of the windshield washer reservoir is shown in Figure 16.25, its location in the engine compartment in Figure 2.1.





The windshield washer reservoir fluid level sensor must be removed in the following order. Disconnect the shock absorber (14) from the windshield washer reservoir fluid level sensor (6). Turn the windshield washer reservoir fluid level sensor (6) by approximately 90 degrees. The windshield washer reservoir fluid level sensor (6) must be installed in the reverse order.
