Checking/replacing the windshield washer pump (BMW 5 Series E39)
Note: Checking the windshield washer pump motor is described here.
Removal
Disconnect the plug
Drain the washer fluid from the reservoir.
Remove the pump from the washer fluid reservoir.
Disconnect the hose from the pump.
Installation
Attach the washer fluid supply hose to the new pump.
Insert the pump into the tank.
Connect the plug.
Check the operation of the windshield washer pump.
