A fully automatic pause duration control system can be installed as an additional equipment. AIC System (automatic pause control) contains a rain sensor and controls the duration of the pause during the operation of the windshield wiper depending on the wetting of the windshield, steplessly from continuous operation to a state of rest. To do this, the rain sensor determines the light transmittance of the glass by the reflection of the infrared light of the LED from the windshield: dry glass reflects infrared light completely, and wet glass only partially.
