Exterior: Windshield and, on vehicles with a rear wiper, also the rear window, it is recommended to wipe thoroughly with BMW glass cleaner after each car wash, especially after an automatic car wash with wax application. Wax and preservative residues, like any other contaminants, cause streaks and premature wear of the wiper blades when the windshield wipers are in use. Remove stubborn dirt with BMW glass cleaner and polish.

To clean the windshield wipers, use BMW car shampoo or soap solution. Replace the brushes twice a year - at the beginning and end of winter. This is especially important for vehicles with a rain sensor.
