Caution: Cleaning and washing products may contain substances harmful to health. Therefore, always follow the instructions on their packaging. When cleaning the interior, keep doors or windows open. Do not use products that are not intended for car care.

Upholstery

The crushed pile of the seat upholstery can be lifted using a damp brush. The use of pile is a characteristic of velour, which in no way indicates its poor quality. Hairs and small debris stuck to fabric or suede upholstery can be removed with a Velcro brush. Stains should be removed immediately with lukewarm water, BMW interior cleaner, BMW stain remover, or cleaning benzine. After removing the stains, the upholstery should be cleaned with a brush. In bright sunlight and during long periods of parking, cover the seats to prevent the upholstery from fading. Electrostatic electricity can accumulate on the seat upholstery, especially in low humidity conditions, and the driver and passengers may feel the discharge if they touch metal body parts after leaving the vehicle. This discharge is completely safe and can be avoided if you hold on to the metal parts of the car body when disembarking. To prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge, you can use antistatic agents.

Genuine Leather

The leather used in the interior trim is a valuable natural material, crafted using the most modern technologies. With proper care, it retains its consumer qualities for many years. Like any other natural material, leather requires special handling and care. Merino leather may have slight wrinkles and unevenness, which highlights its natural origin and is not a defect. Dust and street dirt, clogging the pores and folds, contribute to increased abrasion and premature brittleness of the skin. Therefore, regularly clean the leather from dust with a cloth or vacuum cleaner. To clean and care for the leather, use BMW leather emulsion. Dirt and grease gradually destroy the leather's protective film, so restore it twice a year with BMW leather emulsion. It also provides anti-static properties. Wipe up spilled liquids immediately. Blot grease or oil stains with a swab soaked in BMW stain remover; under no circumstances rub the stained area. In bright sunlight and during long periods of parking, cover leather-covered parts to prevent them from fading.
