Removal and installation the window lift mechanism / adjusting the glass (BMW 3 Series E30)
Removal
Remove the inner door trim.

Carefully remove the film from the door cutout.

Place the glass in such a position that the mounting bolts are visible in the cutout.
Unscrew the two glass mounting bolts.

Tilt the glass forward from the guide roller.
Roll down the window.

Loosen the window lift mechanism bolts.
Cut the cable tie.
On vehicles with electric window lift: disconnect the connector by releasing the cable clamp.
Installation
Insert the window lift mechanism from below, align it and screw it in place with bolts.
Raise the glass, insert it into the guide from the front and secure it with 2 bolts from the rear. If necessary, turn the window lifting mechanism so that the rear mounting bolts are visible in the slot.
Glass adjustment
Close the window.
The window lifting mechanism must be mounted without tension, otherwise loosen the mechanism mounting bolts and align the window lifting mechanism.

Lower the glass until the bolts in the body opening become visible. Loosen the bolts.

Align the glass in the slots so that there is an even gap between the window frame and the edge of the glass.
Tighten the bolts, raise and lower the glass several times and make sure it moves normally in the guides. Otherwise, re-adjust.
Secure the window lift mechanism at the bottom of the door cutout together with cable ties.

On vehicles with electric windows: connect the connector and secure the cable tie.
Carefully stick the film onto the door cutout.
Note: The film should not be damaged, otherwise there will be drafts in the cabin. Small tears can be sealed with adhesive tape.
Install the interior door trim.
