Removal and installation the lock cylinder (BMW 3 Series E30)
Removal
Remove the inner door trim.
Pull the film off the top of the door.

Use a screwdriver to push back the lock cylinder clamps.

Remove the washer from the inside. If there is a heated lock, remove the heater ring, and if there is a centrally controlled lock system, remove the "C" tie.

Remove the lock cylinder from the cutout in the door.
Installation
Insert the lock cylinder with the washer into the door. The wide cutout in the washer should be on top.
If the lock is heated, insert the heater ring complete with clamp.
On vehicles with a centrally controlled locking system from the inside, use a screwdriver to first fit the clamp "C" onto the lock cylinder, then the clamp "B".
Stick the film on the door.
Install the interior door trim.
Removal and installation the door lock
Remove the inner door trim.

Unscrew the door handle and disconnect the rod.

Remove 3 screws from the door.
Remove the lock from the door. If there is a centrally controlled locking system, disconnect the rod from the lock.
Installation

The following rods must be connected to the lock: 1 - to the door lock button, 2 - to the central control lock system. 3 - to the door handle.
Insert the lock into the door and connect the rods accordingly. Some rods are bent. Install the rods so that they do not touch the door anywhere. Ensure free movement of the rods.
Secure the lock to the door with 3 screws.
Screw the door handle.

Place a plastic clip on the door handle rod and insert the clip into the door from the inside.
Check the operation of the door lock, door handle and central locking system.
Install the interior door trim.
