Removal and installation the wheel cylinder (BMW 3 Series E21)
Removal
Remove the brake drum.
Turn the adjusting eccentric heads until the brake pads are completely released.
Disconnect the brake fluid supply pipe from the wheel cylinder and plug the pipe inlet. Unscrew the air bleed nipple from the wheel cylinder.
Remove the two wheel cylinder mounting bolts.
Move the wheel cylinder to the right and remove the cylinder by pushing it forward.
Installation
The wheel cylinder is installed in the reverse order of removal. After installation, bleed the hydraulic drive system to remove air.
