Checking the mixture quality corrector

See the relevant paragraph in the subsection "Solex Carburetor "Zenit" 2B4".

Warning: The protrusion of the corrector needle should be within 5±0.5 mm.

Checking actuator protrusion

Remove the carburetor cover.

Remove the hatch on the carburetor body. At a coolant temperature of plus 20°C, the gap "X" should be within 4-6 mm.



Checking the throttle actuator (see photo above in subsection "Carburetor Solex "Zenith" 2B4").

Check the spring pre-tension: dimension "A" should be 23 mm. If necessary, adjust the correct dimension with adjusting nut 1.

Check the clearance "B" between the throttle control lever and the stop screw, which should be 3.7 mm. If necessary, set the specified clearance by changing the length of the threaded rod.

Checking the fuel level in the float chamber

Remove the carburetor cover and gasket.



Measure the gap between the highest point of the float and the mating surface of the carburetor body with a ruler, which should be 30 mm. It is adjusted by bending the tongue and levers of the float.
