Note: The front crankshaft oil seal and intermediate shaft oil seal can be replaced on the vehicle provided the radiator and vibration damper are removed.
Remove the camshaft drive belt and the crankshaft and intermediate shaft toothed pulleys.
Loosen the bolts securing the front cylinder block cover to the oil pan.
Remove the front cylinder block cover and press out the seals.
Press the front crankshaft oil seal flush using the 24 1 050 drift.
Press the intermediate shaft seal flush using mandrel 33 1 180 with handle 00 5 500.
Apply grease to the working lips of the seals.
Install drift 1 (11 2 211) on the crankshaft and drift 2 (11 2 212) on the intermediate shaft.
Place the front cylinder block cover onto the mandrels, replacing the cover gasket if necessary.
Remove the mandrels.
Install the crankshaft and intermediate shaft toothed pulleys, put on the toothed belt.
