Replacing the front axle input shaft flange seal
1. Remove the stiffener plate.
2. Remove the front propeller shaft.

3. Mark the position of the nut relative to the shaft with a punch (arrow).
4. Using a suitable tool, remove the lock washer (1).

Caution: Do not insert the device into the threaded holes of the flange.
5. Holding the flange with tool 230020, unscrew the nut (1).

Attention:
- Risk of damage.
- To attach the device to the flange, use only long screws (M10 x 30).
6. Remove the flange from the input shaft using tool 331150.

7. Remove the oil seal (1) from the front axle gearbox using a suitable screwdriver (2).

8. Press the oil seal in until it stops using tool 315130.
9. Lubricate the working lips of the new oil seal (1) with front axle gearbox oil.

Attention:
- Risk of damage.
- Do not overtighten the nut beyond the marks made with the punch. This leads to damage to the spacer sleeve.
10. Clean and install the input shaft flange.
11. Tighten the nut until the marks made with a punch on the nut and on the shaft align.
12. Install a new lock washer (1).
13. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
14. Check and, if necessary, top up the oil level in the front axle gearbox.
