Checking the oil level in the rear axle gearbox and bringing it up to standard (BMW X3 E83)

Caution: To avoid serious damage to the rear axle differential, only use the recommended oil.

1. Unscrew the plug (1) of the oil filler hole.

2. Check the fluid level.

3. If necessary, add oil up to the lower edge of the hole (1).

4. Replace the filler plug (1) together with the sealing ring.

Tightening torque: 60 Nm.
