Remove the connecting rod caps, making sure they are marked.
Remove the pistons with connecting rods through the cylinders.
Apply timing marks to the connecting rod and piston.
Remove the piston pin retaining rings from the piston bosses and press out the pin.
Measure the gap between the piston rings and the grooves.
Remove the piston rings and check the gap in the lock by inserting the rings into the cylinder.
Check the diameter of the cylinders and pistons.
Install piston rings with the "TOP" mark facing up (to the piston bottom).
Warning: Pistons must be of the same brand and belong to the same weight group, which are marked with "+" or "-" signs on the piston crown.

Connect the piston pin to the connecting rod. The piston pins must match the pistons.
Install the piston pin retaining rings.
Position the piston ring locks at 120° intervals.
Insert the pistons with connecting rods into the cylinders, directing the arrow on the piston bottom towards the camshaft drive.

Install the connecting rod caps and tighten the connecting rod bolts (new) to a torque of 2.0 kgf·m, then turn them an additional 70°.

Install the oil pump and oil pan.
Install the cylinder head.
