Diesel engines: 1 - fuel pump relay; 2 - main DDE relay (digital electronic control system of diesel engine); 3 — absent.
The fuel pump relay is located in the relay box in the left rear of the engine compartment. It supplies power to the fuel pump. When the pulses from the speed sensor stop coming in with the ignition on (when the engine stalls) the control circuit interrupts the power supply.

If it is necessary to check the fuel injection system with the engine off, remove the relay and short-circuit terminal 30 and terminal 87b (on a diesel engine terminal 87) short jumper with a diameter of 1.5 mm.
Caution: When checking the fuel pump relay, the battery must be charged.
Check the fuel injection system fuse. The fuse location is on the fuse box cover.
Remove the fuel pump relay.

Short-circuit terminals 30 and 87b with a short jumper (on a diesel engine terminal 87). Be careful not to damage the fragile contacts. If the pump starts, replace the fuel pump relay. Otherwise, ring the green-violet wire at the fuel pump and, if necessary, replace the wire.
