Removal and installation the rear shock absorber (BMW 3 Series E46)

Removal

1. Remove the rear bumper.



2. Unscrew the mounting bolts "1" and remove the shock absorber. 3 - cover.

Installation

3. Install the shock absorber so that the central bolt "2" faces upward. Screw in the bolt without tightening it.

4. Detach the decorative strip.

5. Install the rear bumper.



6. Tighten mounting bolt "1" to 45 Nm.

7 Attach the decorative strip.
