Compress the spring slightly and remove the shock absorber rod nut cap.
Holding the shock absorber rod 2 (see photo), unscrew the nut 1 and remove the upper support of the telescopic strut.
Remove the suspension spring, bushing, compression buffer and protective cover.
Mark the thrust washers so that they can be re-positioned during reassembly without changing their orientation.
