Removal and installation the front stabilizer (BMW 5 Series E28)
Removal
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on axle supports.

2. If you are replacing the strut assembly, remove the nut (indicated by the arrow) fastening the stabilizer bar to the connecting link (left side shown, right side is the same), disconnect the rod link from the rack body.
3. Remove the bolts from the stabilizer bar brackets that secure the bar to the subframe.

4. Remove the stabilizer bar from the car. Where necessary, loosen the bolts (indicated by arrows) on the stabilizer bar brackets and disconnect the bar from the strut bracket.
Installation
Install in reverse order. Remember to tighten all nuts and bolts to the required torque.
