In addition to the time, you can call up the date and outside temperature on the display, and with the reminder key (Memo) - turn on the hourly sound reminder signal.
By turning the ignition key to position 0 and pressing the appropriate button, the time and date can be read. From the moment the key is turned in the ignition lock to position 1, the time is displayed. Numeric data can be changed or re-entered.
Entering the time and date
After a power interruption (first input, flashing dot on the display) the time can be entered without pressing the UHR key using the two input keys h/DAT and min/DAT. To enter the date, first press the DATUM key. When you press the information entry keys or every half second they are held in this position, the corresponding numerical value increases by one unit.
The time function is indicated by the clock symbol and the date by the letters DAT.
To start the clock to the second, press the UHR button, and to start the calendar program, press the DATUM key.
After that, the dot stops flashing.
Before entering any modified numeric data, press the appropriate key (UHR or DATUM) and hold it in this position until a flashing dot appears on the display between hours and minutes or day and month.
If, after entering new numerical data, you did not start the program, but pressed another key, then the old numerical data is saved.
Unreal digital data is not accepted by the program. Leap years are not taken into account when displaying the date and must be entered manually.
Recommendations for displaying the time in 12-hour mode
Until noon symbol (AM) changes to noon symbol (RM) after every 12 hours and is indicated in front of its numerical value. For different versions, the following changes can be made in the time function:
- 24h or C
- 12 h or F
- 12 h or C-indication (see buttons on the housing cover at the back).
After switching from the 24 hour system to the 12 hour system, the function of the enter keys is automatically changed from day and month to month and day.
Sound reminder function (Memo)
The MEMO key can be used to turn the hourly reminder on and off. An audible signal sounds 15 seconds before the end of each full hour, and reminds, for example, if the tape recorder is working, that you should turn on the receiver to listen to the latest news. The combination ME on the display indicates the activated reminder function.
Outdoor temperature
When the A-TEMP key is pressed, the outside temperature is shown on the display. If the outside temperature drops below 3°C, when the ignition key is in position 1, a warning signal sounds. At the same time, the dot and temperature unit flash on the display for 10 seconds (C/F).
If another function is activated at this point and then the temperature is requested again, only the optical warning flashes for the remaining time.
The alarm is repeated if the temperature has risen to 6°C at least once and then dropped to 3°C again since the last time it occurred.
The low outside temperature warning does not exclude the possibility of sleet at temperatures above 3°C, for example on bridges and roadways in the shade.
