Parking heating and parking ventilation timer

The timer can be used to directly switch on and off the parking heating and parking ventilation, and also set the switching time from 0:00 to 23:59 hours.

Direct switching on - press the EIN button for 3 seconds, the LED will flash.

Switching off - press the AUS button.

Entering the turn-on time - from the moment the key in the ignition switch is turned to position 1, the UHR function must be activated.

When you press the ZEIT button, the fan symbol and alternating numbers 1 and 2 appear on the display, indicating the selected or entered switch-on time respectively.

After selecting the required number, you can enter the corresponding switch-on time.

Keep the ZEIT button pressed until the dot between the hours and minutes starts flashing.

Enter the required switch-on time using the h/DAT and min/DAT keys.

Press the button again, ZEIT - the dot stops flashing, the ventilation switch-on time is programmed.

Activation of the on-time (from the moment the key in the ignition switch is turned to position 1) - after selecting the switch-on time, press the SET/RES button again, the LED will light until the parking heating and ventilation are automatically switched on.

After this, the LED on the EIN button indicates that the system is working.

Deactivating the on time - after entering the on time, press the SET/RES button again, the LED will go out.

The set time for the parking ventilation to be switched on can be permanently activated and deactivated by pressing the SET/RES button again. The time is saved in the memory until a new time is entered.

When equipping a car the on-board computer controls the system using the buttons ZEIT and SET/RES.

Parking heating/Parking ventilation

The parking heater operates at outside temperatures below 16°C with the ignition key removed or turned to position 0 or 1.

Using the option of pre-activating the parking heater at a specified time, you can get into an already warmed-up car. In addition, in frosty weather, this will make it easier for you to clean the car from snow and ice.

The operating time of the parking heating and ventilation is 30 minutes. Due to high power consumption, do not turn on the system twice in a row without first charging the battery while driving.

Normal heating mode:
  • open all nozzles with the three air distribution levers and the front grilles as necessary;
  • close the fresh air vents at the end of the center console;
  • set the rotary switch for the amount of air supplied to the 12 o'clock position.

Air conditioner

Open all the vents with the three air distribution levers and the front grilles as necessary. Close the fresh air vents at the end of the center console.

Automatic air conditioning system

Heated air is supplied automatically through the heated window vents in the front and rear footwells. The air distribution can only be adjusted using the buttons when the ignition key is turned to position 1.

Both in the normal heating mode of the car and when the air conditioner and automatic air conditioning system are turned on, the temperature in the passenger compartment can be adjusted using the rotary switch or the temperature adjustment roller only when the key in the ignition switch is turned to position 1. In position 0, the heating is at its most intense.

Keep in mind - parking heating continues to operate for some time after switching off (the LED goes out).

Important instructions

If the parking heating after maximum two attempts if the starter does not turn on or turns off automatically, contact your BMW service for advice.

It is strictly forbidden to turn on parking heating in closed spaces.

When refueling, be sure to turn off the parking heater!

We recommend - during the warm season, turn on the parking heating for a short time at least once a month (approx. 5 minutes).

At temperatures above 16°C, proceed as follows: Timer - press the A-TEMP button for 3 seconds, the letter E appears.

On-board computer - press the A-TEMP and ZEIT buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, the inscription "in" appears. After this, the parking heating can be turned on once (direct on/off).

At outside temperatures above 16°C parking ventilation can be used to blow air into the interior and lower the temperature in it (the positions of the key in the ignition switch are similar to the positions of the key with the parking heater).

Air is forced by a fan in an automatic heating or air conditioning system.

Normal heating mode:
  • Open all nozzles as needed with three levers; the most effective ventilation is through fresh air intake nozzles at the front or at the end of the center console;
  • set the rotary switch for the amount of air supplied to the 12 o'clock position.

Air conditioner

Open the nozzles as needed; the most effective ventilation is through the front or rear nozzles.

Automatic air conditioning system

Air is supplied automatically through the nozzles on the instrument panel in the selected direction and the required quantity. Therefore, to ensure the efficiency of the parking ventilation mode, the nozzles must be fully open.
