1. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands. Insert a large screwdriver or lever over the support under the rear of the transmission case. Try raising the transmission a little.
2. The transmission should raise very slightly. If it moves easily, then the support may be cracked or torn. Replace it.
3. To replace the support, first support the weight of the transmission with a roller jack. Loosen the nuts and bolts securing the support to the cross member and to the transmission, then slightly raise the transmission and remove the support.
