Checking the level and replacing transmission oils (BMW X5 E53)

            0

Attention! Draining oil from transmission units must be done on a warmed-up car, immediately after it has stopped. Beware of burns from the exhaust system of the car. Fill and add only BMW-AG-certified oil grades. The type of oil filled is indicated on the sticker attached to the filler hole.

Replace the transmission oil of the BMW X5 E53 every 80,000 km during maintenance. In between, systematically check the oil level, which should be at the level of the lower edge of the filler hole. Perform a visual check for signs of leakage in visible areas, if necessary, remove the auxiliary unit protection panel and stiffening plate for this purpose.
