Removal and installation the outside mirror (BMW 5 Series E34)

Removal

Press down the plastic mirror cover. Pull out the damping felt.

On cars with Hi-Fi installation: Remove the tweeter. To do this, unscrew screw 1, disconnect clamp 2, unscrew screw 3.

Loosen the mirror mounting bolt. Remove the mirror.

Disconnect the mirror connector. Remove the mirror.

Installation

Connect the mirror connector, apply sealing compound to the connector joint with your fingers to prevent moisture from penetrating.

Insert the mirror and secure with a bolt.

Insert the plastic cover into the guides.

Install the speaker.

Check the mirror control and, if available, the mirror heating.
