Power Steering and Level Control — Checking Fluid Level (BMW 5 Series E34)

With the engine not running, loosen the knurled nut and remove the reservoir cap.

The fluid level should be between the marks on the dipstick.

If necessary, add Pentosin CHF 7.1 fluid or, if unavailable, LFIM. The fluid level should be slightly below the upper mark on the dipstick.

Close the tank lid, tighten the knurled nut. Make sure the lid is tightly closed.
