Windscreen, headlight (and fog light) washer and intensive cleaning system (BMW 5 Series E34)

Filling volumes

Windscreen washer:

• About 2.5 liters - BMW 520i
• About 3.2 liters - BMW 525i
• About 4.0 liters - BMW 535i
• About 3.7 liters - BMW 524td

If headlight and fog light washers are present:

• About 8.5 liters - BMW 520i, 525i
• About 9.0 liters - BMW 524td

Headlight and fog light washer:

• Around 8.01 - BMW 535i

The windshield and headlight washer system can use water and, if necessary, antifreeze (used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions).

Intensive cleaning system*

• Filling capacity is about 1.0 liter.

A strong detergent is used that does not freeze at temperatures down to -27°C, which can be purchased at BMW service stations.
