Elastic coupling centering sleeve — removal and installation (BMW 7 Series E32)

Removal

Remove the cardan transmission. Fill the centering sleeve completely with grease.

Insert a mandrel into the bushing hole, the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the bushing hole, and press out the bushing by striking the mandrel.

Installation

Apply long-life grease to the new centering sleeve and install it into the flexible coupling with the seal lip facing away from the flexible coupling.

Press the bushing into the coupling using a mandrel, ensuring that it protrudes relative to the coupling surface by 4-6 mm.

Install the cardan shaft.
