Hood lock (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the hood lock

1. Remove the front bumper trim.

2. Remove the front air duct.

Note: For clarity, the image of the hood lock (2) is shown without additional elements.

3. Unhook the cable (1) from the hood lock (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow.



4. Loosen the screws (1) and remove the hood lock (2) by moving it forward diagonally.

5. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
