Removal and installation the engine compartment hood (BMW 3 Series E30)
Removal

Remove the washer fluid reservoir.
Disconnect the washer jet hose from the bottom of the water tank and close the tank with a suitable plug or drain the water.
Pull the washer nozzle hose towards the hood.

If the hood is to be reinstalled, mark the position of the bolts with a felt-tip pen.

Press the clamp with a screwdriver, pull out the finger. At the same time, the assistant should hold the hood.
Unscrew the hood bolts and remove the hood with an assistant.
Installation
Install the hood with an assistant. Tighten the hood bolts in accordance with the markings made.
Insert the hood retaining pin and secure it with the clamp.
Install the washer fluid reservoir. Route the washer jet hose and connect it to the water reservoir. Fill the reservoir with water.
Close the engine compartment hood and check the position of the hood in relation to the front fenders. If necessary, adjust the engine compartment hood.
