Removal and installation the engine compartment hood cable (BMW 5 Series E34)
Removal
Open the engine compartment hood.
Unscrew the hood release lever.
Disconnect the cable end from the hood lock.
Unfasten the cable guide and pull the cable together with the lever into the car interior. Pay attention to the cable routing.
Installation
Route the hood cable from the passenger compartment. Connect the cable to the hood lock in the engine compartment.
