Removal and installation the front decorative grille (BMW 5 Series E34)

The front decorative grille consists of two side elements and a central part with a BMW kidney.

Removal the side grille elements

Open the engine compartment hood lock.



Unscrew the 5 "arrow" screws and remove the grille element.

Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Removal the middle part of the grille

Open the engine compartment hood lock.



Unscrew the "arrow" screws, remove the headlight casing. Remove the casing of the other headlight in the same way.



With the engine compartment hood open, unscrew bolt 1. Then release the 2 clamps next to the bolt



Press the left and right fasteners from the engine compartment side with a screwdriver. To release from the fasteners, press the decorative grille slightly forward.

Press clamp 3 through the hole in the grille with a screwdriver, thereby releasing the grille.

Installation of the middle decorative grille

Place the decorative grille and press it in the places where the clamps are located until they snap into place.

Screw in the decorative grille screws from above.

Install headlight covers.
