Note: When the front suspension is raised, the force applied by the transverse link is split into horizontal and vertical. Without assistance from the electric or hydraulic booster, the resulting forces cause the spring (1) to release the stop (2). The resulting clearance is mistaken for steering play.
Attention: Perfect condition: none of the mechanical steering components (right down to the steering gear and transverse tie rod) there should be no gap.
Note: To check, it is necessary to create pressure in the steering mechanism through an electric or hydraulic booster.
1. With hydraulic booster, you need to start the engine.
2. If the power steering is electrohydraulic, the ignition must be turned on.
3. If the power steering is electric, the ignition must be turned on.
