Removal and installation the flexible coupling of the cardan shaft
1. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the gearbox and intermediate support.
Note: To protect the universal joint with the crosspiece, tie the cardan shaft in the area of the intermediate support.
2. Loosen the bolts and remove the elastic coupling (1) from the cardan shaft.
Note:
- When installing, make sure that the arrows (3) on the elastic coupling point to the cheeks (2) of the flange.
- Replace the self-locking nuts.
- The bolts securing the elastic coupling to the cardan shaft are tightened only with nuts.
Tightening torque:
- M10 8.8: 48 Nm.
- M10 10.9: 64 Nm.
3. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note: When installing, it is necessary to check the centering element and replace the damaged centering element.
4. Lubricate the centering element.
