Removal and installation the propeller shaft (universal joint with crosspiece) assembled
1. Remove the exhaust system assembly.
2. Remove the heat-insulating screen.
3. Loosen the threaded ring (1) a few turns using tool 261040.
Note: When installing, it is necessary to tighten the threaded ring using tool 261040.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm.
4. Remove the screws.
Tightening torque:
- M10 8.8: 48 Nm.
- M10 10.9: 64 Nm.
Caution: Before removing the driveshaft, mark the position of the universal joint with the crosspiece relative to the flange of the final drive pinion.
5. Set the hinge back to this position.
6. Remove the screws.
7. Move the rear propeller shaft (1) forward.
8. Holding the cardan shaft, unscrew the nuts.
Tightening torque: 21 Nm.
9. Bend the cardan shaft downwards by pressing on the intermediate support (1).
10. Disconnect the cardan shaft from the gearbox output shaft flange and remove it by moving it downwards.
11. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note: When installing, it is necessary to check the centering element and replace the damaged centering element.
12. Lubricate the centering element.
