Replacing the flexible coupling of the cardan shaft (BMW X5 E53)
The replacement of the flexible coupling of the cardan shaft must be carried out in the following order: Remove the cardan shaft and unscrew the bolts (arrows, Fig. 10.29), while doing this, hold the bolt head with a wrench, turning only the nut, and remove the elastic coupling.
When installing the coupling, it is necessary that the arrows (11, see Fig. 10.24) were directed towards the flange cheeks. For tightening torques of new self-locking nuts, see above.
