1. Remove cardan shaft (see Section Removal and installation of cardan shaft).
2. Remove the boot clip from the back of the CV joint.
3. At the front of the hinge, remove the circlip that secures the CV joint to the shaft. Remove the joint from the shaft using a suitable puller (the hinge is fastened to the shaft with a special blocking compound applied to the thread), so it is difficult to remove without the aid of a puller.
4. Give fixing bolts of the hinge. The shoulders of the bolt heads are knurled, so you have to knock out the bolts from the hinge.
5. Stuff the new CV joint with 80 grams of special grease. Push the grease into the cage.
To prevent the balls from falling out, do not rock the inner race of the CV joint during stuffing.
6. Install new gasket and boot.
7. Install the bolts and holders in the connection holes. Clean out the driveshaft splines and apply some blocking sealant to them.
8. Install the protective cover on the shaft. Install the hinge and tap it with a wooden block.
9. Install a new retaining ring on the shaft and a new clip on the protective boot.
10. Install the cardan shaft (see Section Removal and installation of cardan shaft).
