Disconnecting the throttle cable from the carburetor (BMW 3 Series E30)

Disconnecting the throttle cable from the carburetor


Remove the air filter (see section "Removal and installation the air filter").

Apply gas with throttle lever "1" to relieve pressure on nipple "6" of the throttle cable.

Compress the clamp "2" and push it away from the throttle lever.

Disconnect the throttle cable through the slot on the throttle lever.

Unscrew the holder "3" from the carburetor and put it aside together with the gas cable.

Connection



Screw the holder with the gas cable to the carburetor.

Insert the throttle cable through the slot into the hole in the throttle lever.

Give a little gas with the throttle lever, install and press the bracket.

Check the throttle cable adjustment.

Install the air filter (see section "Removal and installation the air filter").
