1. Before starting the adjustment procedure described below, check the throttle cable adjustment at wide open throttle, and adjust if necessary (see chapter Supply system).
2. With the accelerator pedal released, use a feeler gauge to check the distance between the cable stopper (indicated by an arrow) and the end of the threaded sleeve of the cable, then compare the result with the value indicated in Table of sizes and adjustment data at the end of the Guide.
3. Loosen the lock nut of the AT downshift switch located under the accelerator pedal and screw in the switch as far as possible.
4. Squeeze out an accelerator pedal to position when you will feel its resistance, and hold it in this position; now unscrew the switch just enough to just touch the pedal and tighten the locknut.
5. Check the quality of the adjustment by depressing the accelerator pedal to the kickdown position and noticing the position of the cable stopper (see point 2). Compare the measurement result with the value given in Table of sizes and adjustment data at the end of the Guide. If the cable cannot be adjusted to the desired value, recheck and, if necessary, adjust the accelerator cable at full throttle. After adjusting the throttle cable, try adjusting the throttle cable again.
