
2. With the accelerator pedal released, use a feeler gauge to check the distance between the cable stopper (indicated by the arrow) and the end of the threaded sleeve of the cable, then compare the result with the value specified in Table of sizes and adjustment data at the end of the Guide.

3. Loosen the lock nut of the automatic transmission downshift switch located under the accelerator pedal and screw the switch in as far as possible.
4. Press the accelerator pedal to the position where you feel resistance and hold it in this position; now unscrew the switch just enough so that it just touches the pedal and tighten the lock nut.
5. Check the quality of the adjustment by pressing the accelerator pedal to the kick-down position and noting the position of the cable stopper (see item 2). Compare the measurement result with the value given in Table of sizes and adjustment data at the end of the manual. If the cable cannot be adjusted to the desired value, recheck and, if necessary, adjust the accelerator cable with the throttle fully open. After the accelerator cable is adjusted, try adjusting the throttle cable again.
