Removal and installation the light switch (BMW 3 Series E46)

Removal

1. Remove the left front visor, refer to Section Removal and installation the front instrument panel visors.



2. Disconnect switch "1" (arrows in the illustration).

The switch can be fixed with one or two screws. 2 – guides.

3. Press the switch at the guides "2" upwards, disconnect it from the locking tabs "3" and remove it.



4. Disconnect connector "4" and remove it from switch "1". To do this, disconnect clamp "5" and move it away from the cable.

Installation

5. Connect the connector and secure it with a clamp. Make sure the clamp is secured.

6. Press the switch into the hole on the instrument panel and secure it in place.

7. Secure the switch at the top with one or two screws.

8. Install the left front visor, refer to Section Removal and installation the front instrument panel visors.
