Note. This test is carried out on the vehicle.
Connect tester (in ohmmeter mode) to the benefits «A» And «S» potentiometer.
Fully extend the 1st chamber throttle servo (while the throttle is in the position corresponding to the engine braking mode) and measure the rated slip resistance, which should be between 0-250 ohms for 1983-1985 vehicles and at least 250 ohms for 1986 and later vehicles.
Slowly open the throttle to the position corresponding to the full load of the engine, measuring the slip resistance, which should gradually increase to a maximum value of 1.3-2.5 kΩ.
If the slip resistance is not within the specified limits, replace the 1st chamber throttle potentiometer.
