Remove the gearbox (see section "Gearbox": BMW 242/4, Getrag 262/8 or Getrag 265/6).
With the clutch installed on the vehicle, make sure that the deviation from flatness of the ends of the pressure spring petals does not exceed the maximum permissible value. Lock the flywheel using lock 6013 (on models "518" and "520") or 7007 (on models "525" and "528").
Gradually and evenly loosen the bolts securing the clutch housing to the flywheel.
Remove the clutch housing assembly with the pressure plate. This releases the driven clutch plate.
